How can I place an order?
Head over to the "Shop" tab and select your preferred custom portrait. Fill out the detailed form provided. Include all your details on the online form and email a photo at hello@thelazyainter.com.au. The Lazy Painter will get back to you within 48 hours to discuss the specifics of your portrait and provide an invoice. Please note, the invoice must be paid to confirm your booking and begin the portrait.
What’s the process for ordering a custom portrait?
1. After placing your order, The Lazy Painter will reach out via email to discuss the details and review any photos you’d like to include.
2. A draft sketch will be sent for your feedback and any suggestions you may have.
3. If needed, adjustments will be made to the sketch until you're completely satisfied. Then, The Lazy Painter will begin painting!
4. Once the portrait is finished, The Lazy Painter will collaborate with a frame specialist to have your artwork professionally framed and delivered to your doorstep (Luxury option). If you're in Perth, you can choose the classic frame and opt for local pick-up.
How does The Lazy Painter create portraits?
Traditionally, The Lazy Painter worked with traditional media, such as watercolor on paper. However, to allow for more flexibility and to ensure high-quality results, digital painting is now used. Digital painting requires just as much skill as traditional methods. You also have the option to purchase a digital copy of your portrait for personal use.
What’s the timeline for completing my custom portrait?
Typically, it takes 4-6 weeks for the luxury option, as professional framing and shipping takes time—especially during the festive season. It's always a good idea to check with The Lazy Painter for a more accurate estimate.
How will my portrait be delivered?
Classic option (Perth only) – Available for local pick-up.
Luxury option – Your framed portrait will be professionally packaged in sturdy boxes and delivered right to your doorstep with free shipping.
